A Personal Story
Let me share a quick personal story with you. When I was pregnant for my third child, I knew it would be my last time being pregnant (we were done at 3!) I felt like time was flying by this time though. It was unlike my first pregnancy where I had tons of time to daydream and prepare for baby's arrival. Now, I had two toddlers who were keeping me extremely busy with potty training, preschool, and too much Dora The Explorer! I knew I needed to freeze this moment so that I can look back and remember what that time felt like. I am so happy I took the time out of that pregnancy to capture what it was like, how I felt, and the true excitement of knowing it would be only a short while before baby comes.
When is the best time to schedule maternity portraits?
I recommend booking your maternity portrait session between the 28th and 34th weeks of pregnancy. During this time, your bump is beautifully round, and you're likely still feeling comfortable enough to enjoy the experience. Plus, scheduling in advance allows us to secure your preferred date and location, as well as plan any special elements you'd like to incorporate into your session.
Making memories together
During our session, my goal is to make you feel as comfortable and confident, as possible, because let's face it, being pregnant can sometimes make you feel anything but! We'll chat, laugh, and maybe even shed a tear or two (pregnancy hormones, am I right?) The key is to capture authentic moments that reflect your personality and the love you have for your baby.
