When your looking for a newborn photographer, you are wanting someone who knows how to safely handle and pose your baby safely, someone who you can trust with the most precious new addition to your family.


With over 5 years of experience with newborns, I have perfected my techniques to safely pose your newborn baby to create artwork that you will surely cherish for many years to come. My sessions will capture those precious first few days of life with simple, natural, baby focused portraits with minimal props and neutral colors. 


As a mom, myself, I know it's hard to trust others with your baby. I promise to treat your sweet baby as if they were my own so you can feel safe and confidant during your newborn's session.

 

When is the best time to book your newborn photoshoot?

 

The best time to capture squishy, sweet, sleepy newborn portraits is between 5-14 days old, so it is best to book a session before they are born. This means that I will have availability during that time and you won't miss out on capturing those precious moments.

When you book, I will make note of your due date and schedule you for one week past your due date. I just ask that you keep in touch around the time baby is due so we can adjust the date if need be to ensure we get that timeframe of 5-14 days of age.

At the time of booking, you will need to let me know what type of session you would like (mini wrapped newborn session or full newborn session with parents) and where you would like to have the session (my studio or your home). Half of the payment is due at the time of booking to reserve your date.

What to expect on the day of your newborn session?

On the day of your newborn photoshoot, we will spend 2-3 hours together. Not all of this time is taking photos, however. I set aside time for baby to take breaks, if need be. Sometimes we need to feed or change baby's diaper, or just to get some cuddles from you. We work at your baby's pace so no need to worry how well your baby will behave because I give them all the time they need.

I love to incorporate shots of baby with their parents Due to limited space in my home studio, I can only take pictures with mom and dad. If you would like to include a session for siblings as well as parents, I would be happy to schedule a time and place where we can do both.


Viewing your newborn baby's portraits

I love editing these newborn photos so you will see sneak peaks either same day or one day after your session!! Then one or two weeks after your session, I will send you the newborn gallery through your email. From the gallery, you will be able to view all of your newborn's fully edited portraits online and the comfort of your own home. Make sure you share this gallery with family and friends too!

You can conveniently download every photo directly to your computer. There is also the option to purchase professional prints from the online gallery. Any additional purchases are subject to shipping times but will be delivered as soon as possible so you can send out those adorable birth announcements or hang those beautifully framed prints on your walls!
