About the Venue – Le Jardin in Sandy, Utah

Nestled near the Wasatch Mountains, Le Jardin is one of Utah’s most beloved event venues, known for its lush greenery, romantic lighting, and indoor-outdoor spaces that work in every season. The greenhouse-style architecture and floral accents create a whimsical setting that’s perfect for weddings, corporate events, and mitzvah celebrations alike.

I love photographing events at Le Jardin because the lighting is soft, the décor is timeless, and there’s a certain warmth that makes every gathering feel intimate—no matter how large the guest list.

Maya’s Bat Mitzvah Celebration

The evening kicked off with an incredible buffet-style dinner and dessert bar, filled with everyone’s favorites. Guests mingled under Le Jardin’s glowing string lights while enjoying delicious food, great conversation, and a fun personalized drink station that quickly became a hit.

When the DJ started playing, the dance floor was instantly packed. From Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus to classics like the Macarena and Cupid Shuffle, the music brought everyone—especially the young teen crowd—to their feet. Watching the excitement build with every song was such a joy to capture, and it was one of those nights where no one wanted the party to end.

The photo booth by Utah Jive was another huge highlight of the evening. Guests lined up all night to strike poses with fun props like colorful boas, oversized sunglasses, and cheeky signs. It added a lighthearted, interactive element to the celebration, and everyone loved taking home their printed photo strips as keepsakes.

Every corner of Le Jardin was filled with laughter and movement, and my goal as the photographer was to capture it all—the small in-between moments, the energy on the dance floor, and the atmosphere that made this Utah celebration one to remember.

It was such a fun evening to photograph—every song, every laugh, every spark of energy on that dance floor told the story of a family celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime moment. These are the kinds of Utah events that remind me how powerful photography is in preserving emotion and joy long after the lights fade.
