What to Expect

  • Maternity sessions typically last 45–75 minutes.
  • Studio sessions focus on simple poses, soft light, and elegant silhouettes (temperature-controlled, private space).
  • Outdoor sessions capture movement and connection around sunrise or sunset for beautiful golden light.
  • I guide posing throughout—no modeling experience needed!

What to Wear

Choose what makes you feel beautiful and comfortable while highlighting your bump.

  • Studio look ideas: Fitted dresses or bodysuits for shape, flowy gowns for movement, or a bra/underwear set with a light robe for timeless simplicity.
  • Outdoor look ideas: Maxi dresses that move in the wind, neutral earth tones, layers (denim jacket or shawl), and comfortable footwear for uneven ground.
  • Neutrals (cream, tan, gray, soft blue, sage, dusty rose) photograph beautifully and fit any location.
  • Avoid bright neon or bold patterns that distract from your connection and form.

Bring a backup option in case you want variety or weather shifts.

Including Your Partner & Family

  • Partners photograph best in neutral, solid colors that complement your outfit (no logos or graphic tees).
  • Kids are welcome for a few poses early in the session—then they can relax with a snack or helper off camera.
  • For studio sessions, limit to immediate family to keep it calm and focused.

Hair, Makeup & Details

  • Professional hair and makeup can help you feel your best—but natural and soft looks photograph beautifully too.
  • Keep nails simple and neutral (same for partner if hands will show).
  • Apply lotion to hands, knees, and elbows before your session to avoid dry patches.

Day-Of Checklist

  • Bring water and a snack—especially if we’re outdoors.
  • Wear loose clothing on the way to avoid skin marks.
  • Arrive with hair and makeup finished; a simple touch-up kit is great to have.
  • For outdoor sessions, pack a neutral blanket and comfortable walking shoes.
  • For studio sessions, bring nude or neutral undergarments and your chosen outfits.

We’ll move slowly and comfortably—breaks are always welcome!
