A practical guide · Ogden & Northern Utah

You find a photographer whose work you love, look at the price, and then wonder: Does that include my photos? Can my other kids be in them? Will I have to pay more afterward?

Those are reasonable questions. When you’re comparing newborn photography packages with digital images in Utah, you should be able to understand what you’re getting before you book.

I’m Leah, a mother, wife, and photographer with 12 years of experience. My business started with taking photos of my own kids. I want beautiful newborn photography to feel within reach, with clear pricing and photographs you’re excited to keep.

Understand your package

What does “digital images included” mean for your newborn photos?

Your digital images are the finished photographs delivered through an online gallery where you can download them. The important detail is whether the package includes a small selection or the full edited collection.

Full newborn sessions with all professionally edited images

My full studio and in-home newborn sessions include your edited gallery, averaging around 50 digital images. You don’t have to buy each photograph individually afterward.

That gives you room to enjoy the baby portraits, sibling pictures, photographs with you, and the little details together. “All professionally edited images” means the finished photographs I select and edit for your gallery, rather than test shots or watermarked images.

Professional newborn prints are your choice

You can purchase professional prints if you’d like photographs for your walls or gifts for family. There is no required print order or minimum print purchase. Your included digital photographs are yours to download whether you order prints or not.

Beautiful, luxury-quality photos. Straightforward pricing.

You can have posed newborn portraits, thoughtful editing, and a personal experience without an enormous required order. My full newborn packages include the session and all professionally edited digital images. Professional prints are an optional extra, so you decide what works for your family.

Choose what fits your family

Start with who you want photographed. If you want pictures with parents and siblings, choose a full session. If you only want portraits of your baby, the mini may be enough.

A prepared space

Studio newborn photography with parents and siblings in Ogden

My studio is on 25th Street in downtown Ogden. Wraps, blankets, and newborn accessories are ready here, so you don’t need to shop for a special baby outfit but you are always welcome to bring anything you'd like included.

A full studio session gives us time for posed newborn portraits and photographs with your family. I’ll guide you through where to stand, how to hold your baby, and what to do with your hands. You don’t need to arrive knowing how to pose.

Is a baby-only newborn mini session enough?

If you want a few portraits focused entirely on your newborn, a mini offers a shorter session and your choice of 10 edited photographs. If you want everyone in the pictures too, book a full session instead.

Stay home · I’ll come to you

In-home newborn photography in Davis County, Salt Lake City, and beyond

If packing everyone up shortly after having a baby sounds exhausting, I can come to you. I photograph newborn families at home throughout Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah counties.

Can you have posed newborn photos at home?

Yes. My in-home sessions include posed baby photographs as well as lifestyle family pictures. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping for and work with your space and your baby during the session.

Newborn photos at home with toddler siblings

Your toddler has somewhere familiar to play between pictures. During Holly’s session, her two-year-old’s monster trucks became part of the photographs, and we took a break outside at his backyard playset. Giving him room to be himself helped us make photos that felt like their family.

“Leah took her time to get the shots, and we never once felt rushed.”

Compare the complete purchase

How to compare Utah newborn photography prices without surprises

A lower session fee doesn’t always tell you what you’ll spend on the finished photographs. Before booking any photographer, look at what the complete package includes.

  • How many edited digital images will you receive?
  • Are parents and siblings included?
  • Do digital photographs cost extra?
  • Is there a required print or artwork purchase?
  • Are travel or rental charges applicable?
  • How and when will your gallery arrive?

My full studio and in-home packages are inclusive of your session and professionally edited digital gallery. You can add professional prints because you want them, without needing to buy them to receive your included photos.

What happens after you book your newborn photo session?

01

Plan around your due date

Send your due date or baby’s age, your city, and who you want photographed. We’ll discuss the session that fits and coordinate the date once your baby arrives.

02

Get ready, then settle in

I’ll send preparation information. Comfortable, coordinating clothes work well for family photos. We’ll take breaks for feeding, diaper changes, and settling your baby. You don’t need to apologize for your baby acting like a baby.

03

Download your newborn photos

Expect sneak peeks within a few days and your edited online gallery in approximately two to three weeks. Download your photographs and keep a separate backup. Order professional prints if you’d like to.

A few more answers

FAQs about newborn photography packages with digital images in Utah

How many digital images are included in a full newborn session?

Full studio and in-home sessions include all professionally edited images, averaging around 50. The final number varies with your baby and session. Newborn minis include 10 edited images.

Do I have to purchase professional prints?

No. Professional prints are available as an optional purchase. There is no required print order, and choosing not to buy prints doesn’t change your included digital gallery.

Is three weeks or one month too late for newborn photos?

No, it is not too late! Please still reach out. Age can affect how we approach a session and which poses are possible. Tell me your baby’s age and the photographs you’re hoping for so we can discuss your options.

Does my home need to be big or perfectly decorated?

No. We’ll discuss your space and choose a few suitable areas. You don’t need a finished nursery or a spotless house before asking about in-home newborn photography.

What if my baby cries or stays awake during photos?

We take breaks and adjust. Feeding, changing, and soothing are part of a newborn session. Your baby doesn’t need to arrive asleep or stay asleep the entire time.

Can I book maternity and newborn photography together?

Yes. Mention both when you inquire so we can discuss your maternity photographs and plan ahead for your newborn session. See maternity photography options.
