Hey there, beautiful mamas-to-be!
I’m so excited to share my top 7 tips to help you prepare for your upcoming maternity photoshoot. This is such a special time in your life, and capturing these moments is truly a gift. Let’s dive in and ensure you’re all set to look and feel amazing in front of the camera!
Pick the Perfect Outfit: The right outfit can make all the difference in how you feel during your maternity photoshoot. Choose clothing that highlights your baby bump and reflects your personal style. Flowy dresses, form-fitting tops, and comfortable bottoms are great choices. I do like to coordinate outfits with my moms to be before their session so feel free to ask me for my opinion ahead of the session!

Timing is Key:
Aim to schedule your photoshoot when you're between 28-34 weeks pregnant. During this time, your belly will have a lovely round shape, and you’ll still feel comfortable enough to move around with ease. It’s the perfect window to capture that radiant pregnancy glow!

Treat Yourself:
Set aside some time for self-care before your photoshoot. Whether it's getting a manicure and pedicure, styling your hair, or enjoying a soothing prenatal massage, pampering yourself will help boost your confidence and bring out your natural glow, resulting in beautiful, radiant photos.
Embrace the Setting:
For studio pictures, we will be doing the session inside my studio. Coordinate with your photographer on the color of your outfit so the photographer can use the appropriate paper backdrop. Be sure to discuss your vision with your photographer to find the perfect setting that aligns with your vision.

Communicate with Your Photographer:
Share your ideas, preferences, and any specific shots you have in mind with your photographer. They are there to make your vision come to life. Collaborating and being open about your expectations will ensure a successful and enjoyable photoshoot experience.
Get Comfortable in Front of the Camera:
If you’re feeling a bit camera shy, don’t worry! Take some time to practice poses and expressions in front of a mirror. Experiment with different angles and find poses that make you feel beautiful and at ease. Remember, your photographer is there to guide and capture your natural beauty. As the photographer, I have studied many poses so I will be able to help you find the best poses for you and your body!

Embrace the Emotions:
Pregnancy is a time filled with a wide range of emotions. During your photoshoot, allow yourself to fully embrace those emotions. Laugh, cry, or share tender moments with your loved ones. These genuine expressions will create heartfelt and authentic photographs.
