If you’re in an apartment, condo, townhome, or a home with tighter rooms, you’re not alone. I photograph in-home newborn sessions all over Utah County — including Provo, Orem, Lehi, American Fork, and Pleasant Grove — and small spaces still look incredible. We only need a few things: one good window, a tidy corner, and a relaxed pace.
We start with simple posed newborn photos first
I’ll set up a small, safe spot near the best window light and begin with baby while you get comfortable. This is great if you want a few more “classic” newborn images in your gallery.
Then we move to nursery + living room window light
We’ll capture family connection in the spaces that matter most — nursery details, snuggles by the window, and tiny features you’ll miss in a blink.
Pets can be included safely and briefly
Curious cats and happy dogs are welcome. If you’d like a pet moment, we’ll plan it quickly and safely, then let them go back to supervising from the sidelines.

The Only “Prep” You Really Need
No deep cleaning. No staging your whole house. These few steps make the biggest difference for clean, true-to-color photos.
Light
Open blinds/curtains and turn off overhead lights/lamps to avoid mixed color casts.
Temperature
Keep rooms cozy (around 72–75°F) so baby stays comfortable in swaddles/onesies.
Two tidy zones
A made bed (neutral bedding if possible), one sofa corner, and/or a nursery chair is plenty.
